SK UV GELE announces partnership with European initiative: "commit for our planet".

The Mönchengladbach-based company SK UV Gele GmbH, one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality nail gels in Europe, is intensifying its focus on sustainability and joining the "commit for our planet" initiative.

The highly acclaimed, industry-wide campaign was developed by the European trade association for the cosmetics and personal care industry, Cosmetics Europe, based in Brussels, Belgium.
Cosmetics Europe's sustainability initiative aims to reduce the environmental footprint of the cosmetics industry in Europe. "commit for our planet" is aimed at all companies in the industry, regardless of membership or size, to make a joint commitment to reducing CO2 emissions, improving packaging solutions and protecting nature. Cosmetics Europe will report transparently on an annual basis on the cosmetics industry's overall actions in relation to the commitments to demonstrate impact and progress. As a new partner of the initiative, SK UV GELE joins the list of internationally recognised companies, including names such as: WALA, Weleda, Coty, Dalli Group, La Biosthétique, L'Occitane, L'Oréal, LVMH, Schwan-Cosmetics, Unilever and many others: https://commitforourplanet.cosmeticseurope.eu/#partners

Nicole Simon, Managing Director of SK UV Gele GmbH: "We are delighted to be part of this impressive project and to make our contribution to improving environmental compatibility in the cosmetics industry. Sustainability is a key goal for us. By locating our entire value chain at our own plant in Mönchengladbach, we are pooling resources, minimising transport routes and thus reducing our ecological footprint. The selection of sustainable raw materials is also one of the elements of our sustainable approach.
In Germany, the initiative is also supported by the "Beauty Care" competence partner in the German Personal Care and Detergents Industry Association (IKW) and the NATRUE quality seal.
